Dr Harsha Kariyawasam MD, MRCP
Consultant in Allergy, Rhinology and Respiratory Medicine, Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust and Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London

Harsha Kariyawasam trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College and completed his training in Allergy and Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital and the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College over a seven year period. During this time he investigated the inflammatory mechanisms that explain how allergens can inflict tissue injury within the nose and lung.  He was awarded the National Heart and Lung Institute PhD Thesis Prize for this work.
